Evergreen Start Seeks Qualified Providers to Strengthen Rural Child Care

Evergreen Start is inviting qualified professionals and organizations to respond to three Requests for Qualifications (RFQs) as part of a Northern Border Regional Commission-funded rural child care infrastructure initiative in northern New Hampshire.

Child care providers face growing demands beyond the classroom, from managing staffing and regulatory requirements to maintaining enrollment and ensuring long-term stability. These challenges can be particularly difficult in rural communities, where limited resources and workforce shortages can affect providers' ability to sustain their programs and serve local families.

Through this initiative, Evergreen Start is working to strengthen the systems and operational capacity that rural child care providers need to thrive. The three RFQs seek qualified providers to support this work in the following areas:

  • Assessment and Onboarding Services: Supporting the assessment and onboarding processes needed to work with child care providers and establish effective partnerships.

  • Human Resources Systems Development and Compliance Services: Helping develop human resources systems and processes that support effective staff management and regulatory compliance.

  • Classroom Support, Stability, and Enrollment Capacity Services: Supporting child care programs in maintaining classroom stability and strengthening their capacity to serve children and families.

Together, these opportunities will help build the operational infrastructure and partnerships needed to support sustainable child care programs across northern New Hampshire.

By investing in the systems behind child care, Evergreen Start aims to help providers strengthen their operations, support workforce stability, and maintain access to quality child care for families in rural communities.
